About Us
Offering State and University Surplus Property Management Software since 2004. Federal Surplus Software since 2008.
Web Data Corporation was incorporated in California on February 5th, 1998. Prior to that, Gordon Bennett had been developing browser-
based web applications for a variety of businesses and local government entities. At that time, Gordon and his wife, Melinda, were living
in La Jolla, California. After moving to Tucson, Arizona, for family reasons in 2002, the company won a bid to develop a Surplus Property
Management System for the University of Arizona. Custom versions of that application were later sold to other universities and state agencies
for surplus property (SASPs). The SASPs were consistently asking for a federal surplus management system, and in 2008 the company developed
its first Federal Surplus Property version which was launched by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Since that time, the application has undergone continual improvement, and as each new SASP acquired the software, special customizations
were developed as requested. Cumulatively, these customizations have been merged into the “Ultimate Version" which includes complete
automation of every process needed in the transfer of property from the GSA to Donees.
Gordon and Melinda Bennett are the company owners, and a small, dedicated group of three developers manage all new development, customer
customizations and technical support.
As a small business, essentially a one-man band, it is vital that our customers receive continued support for the next 30 years and beyond,
which is the minimum expected lifespan of the latest versions of our applications. To that end, the company has developed a succession plan
which is available for download on this website.
